Kayak Rental & Pricing
How much does it cost to rent a kayak?
ALL rentals will require a $200.00 refundable deposit due at time of pick up/drop off. The deposit will be refunded upon the return/pick up the kayaks and paddles.
All rentals will include a paddle per kayak rented.
Rental of 1 to 4 kayaks.....$50.00 per kayak
Rental of 5 to 8 kayaks.....$45.00 per kayak
Rental of 9 or more ..........$40.00 per kayak.
All rentals are for a 24 hour period. If rented at 9AM, they do not have to be returned until 9AM the next day. So, rent on Friday, return on Saturday. All of our current kayaks are single 10ft sit in kayaks. Any questions, call or text.
Is a PFD or personal flotation device required?
Per the Michigan DNR website, ALL persons in a kayak need a PFD or personal flotation device, while on the water. Those under 6 years of age are required to have a life jacket on at ALL TIMES. Others must just have one accessible to them. With that being said and known, we will also be including those with the rentals.
What are the daily time limits on renting?
We don't set time limits, and we offer 24-hour rentals as well as drop-off and pick-up services for your convenience.
Are you licensed and insured?
We are a fully insured and licensed business in central Michigan. Our commitment is to provide you with a memorable kayaking adventure. Feel free to request our insurance and license copies at any time.
What is included in the rental?
Each rental includes a kayak, paddle, and life jacket.
Do you offer group or multi-day discounts?
Yes! We offer discounts for multiple kayaks and longer rental durations. Contact us for pricing details.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we require a refundable deposit to secure your reservation.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash.

How do I book a kayak rental?
You can book by filling out our online rental inquiry form or calling us directly.
Do I need to make a reservation in advance?
We recommend booking in advance to guarantee availability, especially during weekends and holidays.
Where are you located?
We operate in Blanchard, MI and deliver kayaks to various locations within a 30-50 mile radius, including Lakeview, MI · Six Lakes, MI · Edmore, MI · Mount Pleasant, MI · Blanchard, MI.
Delivery & Pick-Up
Do you deliver kayaks?
Yes! We deliver and pick up kayaks within a 30-50 mile radius. A delivery fee may apply for locations beyond this range.
Can I pick up the kayak myself?
Currently, we only offer delivery and pick-up services.
What are the drop-off and pick-up locations?
We can deliver kayaks to various recommended water trails and launch points. Check our kayaking locations page for more details.
Rules & Safety
Are there any age or weight restrictions?
Yes, all renters must be at least 6 years old, and our kayaks have a maximum weight limit of 300 lbs.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes, all renters must sign a waiver before using our kayaks.
Do I need experience to rent a kayak?
No, but we recommend that beginners stick to calmer waters. We’re happy to suggest beginner-friendly routes!
Do you provide life jackets?
Yes, life jackets are included with every rental and are required to be worn while kayaking.
Are pets allowed on the kayaks?
Yes, but you must ensure your pet’s safety, and you are responsible for any damage caused.
Cancellations & Policies
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If weather conditions make kayaking unsafe, we offer rescheduling or a full refund.
What if I return the kayak late?
Late returns may be subject to an additional fee. Please contact us if you need an extension.
Miscellaneous
Are you fully insured?
Yes! Kounty Line Kayaks is fully insured for your safety and peace of mind.
Do you provide guided tours?
At this time, we only offer self-guided rentals, but we can recommend great kayaking routes.
Can I buy a kayak from you?
We occasionally may sell used kayaks at the end of the season. Contact us for availability.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! Gift certificates are available—give the gift of adventure!
